Iranian-born. Istanbul-trained. Vancouver-rooted. A multilingual actor built for characters that live at the edge of something real.
Amir Mohebbi came to acting the way most people come to the things that define them — not through a door that was open, but through one he found and forced. Left Iran at 15. What followed were years of exile, discrimination, immigration, corruption, and a relentless search for freedom — a journey that eventually brought him here.
Along the way he traveled to India alone to learn English, ended up in Turkey, earned a BA in Cinema & Television from Bahçeşehir University, directed and acted in over 40 projects, and had a short film reach the semi-finals of the Los Angeles CineFest 2018. In 2019 he moved to Canada, graduated from Vancouver Film School's Acting for Film program, and signed with Lucas Talent. A pandemic, industry strikes, and an agent retirement later — in 2025 alone, he independently booked more gigs than in all his years with representation combined.
Physically imposing at 6'3 with 16 years of fitness and wellness behind him — trained in karate and kickboxing, currently driven by calisthenics — Amir brings uncommon physical discipline to his craft. That same philosophy runs through Veast, the wellness platform he's building whose mission is human evolution through physical and conscious development. The two are not separate. Every character he inhabits is built from the inside out, and that's not a technique — it's a way of living.
Known globally as Vegan Beast, his ultimate goal is art house cinema — thought-provoking, human, permanent work. There is no generic in him.
